Bangaram

Bangaram is one of Lakshadweep’s most recognisable visitor-island landscapes. A small palm-green island sits within lagoon blues, with the reef separating sheltered water from the Arabian Sea. The simplicity of the setting is its strongest impression.

Begin with the lagoon

Bangaram’s surroundings are as important as its land. Water changes colour over sand and reef, giving the atoll a sense of depth even from shore. Leave the marine environment untouched and choose authorised activities that suit both your ability and the conditions.

A real view beyond the illustration

This photograph offers a documentary counterpoint to the island artwork. Real shorelines shift with season, weather and tide, while an illustration simplifies them. Slow down, keep the beach free of litter and let wildlife remain undisturbed.

Plan the whole journey

Agatti is an important gateway for Bangaram, but your arrival, stay and boat arrangements must work together. Check the operating accommodation and actual inclusions directly. Do not assume a day visit, onward island hop or water activity is available simply because it appears on a map.

Travel with care

Before you make plans

Use approved visitor arrangements and confirm permits, accommodation and weather-dependent transfers. Scuba Lak is based on Kadmat; this article does not imply that we operate Bangaram accommodation.

Confirm the islands listed on your permit, authorised accommodation and current transport arrangements before booking. Weather, local approvals and conservation restrictions can change access. This is an editorial guide, not a promise of a tour or transfer.
