Think in reefs, not just coastlines
The reef system encloses far more water than land. Small vegetated islets and the Suheli Pitti sandbank are distinct parts of it; they should not be merged into an imaginary ring of solid land. The atoll’s shape is an introduction to its ecology, not navigational advice.

A maritime landscape
The Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships records a lighthouse at Suhelipar. Such landmarks speak to the importance of safe passage through these waters. Their presence does not mean that public landings, visitor facilities or routine excursions are available.
Let remoteness remain a responsibility
Reefs, wildlife and small sandbanks are sensitive to disturbance. Learn about Suheli without assuming you need to set foot on it. Any proposed visit requires current, explicit permissions and an authorised plan that considers weather, environmental restrictions and emergency support.
Travel with care
Before you make plans
Do not treat Suheli as an unrestricted tourist island. We do not advertise a routine Suheli trip; specialist permissions and current local guidance are necessary.
Confirm the islands listed on your permit, authorised accommodation and current transport arrangements before booking. Weather, local approvals and conservation restrictions can change access. This is an editorial guide, not a promise of a tour or transfer.
